What is DRIVE and who is attending?

DRIVE is the gathering place for the growing community of non-profit IT/data people seeking to bring new ideas and efficient processes/systems into their organizations. For those just joining the non-profit ranks to those who have been long-term residents, this two day conference is the place to explore the latest ideas in analytics, modeling, data, reporting, information and visualization. As a leading conference exploring the best practices of fundraising IT, DRIVE focuses on driving performance through data and information excellence.

*  9am – Opening Keynote Speaker:  Dr. Connie Kravas
Dr. Connie Kravas serves as the Vice President for University Advancement at the University of Washington.  In her role as Chief Advancement Officer, Dr. Kravas oversees the planning, direction and management of the UW’s fundraising and alumni/loyalty relations program.  In her keynote remarks, Connie will speak to the value of the work of Advancement and how we as data/IT professionals have a profound impact on our organizations.

Dr. Medina will explain how every brain is wired differently and how the brain processes and stores information. He’ll also talk about exploration and how the desire to explore never leaves us despite the classrooms and cubicles we are stuffed into. DR. JOHN J. MEDINA, a developmental molecular biologist, has a lifelong fascination with how the mind reacts to and organizes information. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller "Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School" -- a provocative book that takes on the way our schools and work environments are designed.  More information on Dr. Medina's work can be found at http://brainrules.net/.

Kirk Bailey is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the University of Washington.

Take a deep dive into LinkedIn as a tool to aggregate audience, target market, communicate, engage alumni and how it offers strategic data to utilize for annual planning, lead generation and development of social media ambassadors for your institution.  Additionally, see how LinkedIn is helping redefine the job search adn concepts of personal branding. Presented by John Hill, the Higher Education Evangelist for LinkedIn.
