Join us for a conversation with artist Fay Jones!

2013 Anne Gould Hauberg Libraries Artist Image Series

Most Northwesterners have at least a passing familiarity with the works of artist Fay Jones, whose paintings and prints adorn the walls of museums, restaurants and hospitals throughout the region. Her images, which examine contemporary life through unexpected juxtapositions, have also appeared on book covers, in the New Yorker and on wine labels. Jones blends autobiography, social commentary and memories to examine modern life while remembering the past and bracing for the future.

Jones will discuss her creative process and the history of her work in the Pacific Northwest at the 2013 Anne Gould Hauberg Libraries Artist Image Series event. A question-and-answer session will follow Jones’ lecture, and a reception with the artist and light refreshments will follow.

Established in 1989, the Artist Images Series celebrates prominent artists from the Pacific Northwest. The Anne Gould Hauberg Endowed Library Fund supports the event.
