The documentary follows Peabody and Emmy Award-Winning conflict journalist Mike Boettcher and his son, Carlos, providing a perspective directly from the front lines in Afghanistan. Their journey unfolds a true story of survival for soldiers, and a father and son who seek to rekindle their relationship under the most harrowing of circumstances.

"The Hornet's Nest" captures the importance of supporting our service members while on the battlefield and upon their return home, offering a timely platform to raise awareness about the challenges many veterans and their families face during reintegration, and urges audiences to find solutions and do more to support them. The film also intends to honor families of the fallen, some of whom will be present at the screening.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and advocates for veterans.
