SEFS Prospective Graduate Student Weekend
School of Environmental and Forest Sciences

The UW School of Environmental and Forest Sciences (SEFS) invites you to attend the first-ever Prospective Graduate Student Weekend!

When: March 3-5, 2016

Organized and led by current grad students, this activity-filled weekend will give you a closer look into the SEFS community to see if our graduate program is the right fit for you! You’ll get to meet your prospective faculty advisor, learn about current grad student research, attend some fun events and receptions, and—if you're visiting—explore the city you might be calling home for the next couple years.

For those of you who will be coming from out of town, you may choose to stay with one of our gracious grad student hosts. In addition to being all-around awesome, they’re invaluable resources who can give you firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to be in a SEFS grad program, and help you navigate the city’s bus system—or let you borrow a bike to get around town! You’ll have an opportunity to tell us if you’re interested in being paired with a grad student host further on in the registration process. Otherwise, you will find a great variety of hotels and Airbnb listings in the area.
