Coming Up at UW Law

The Summer Institute program offers participants a foundation in the structure, culture and thinking of the U.S. legal system and practice. Using both instruction and small group tutorials and practice sessions, participants will familiarize themselves with the methods of legal analysis and argumentation practiced in the United States in core legal areas.

This five-day basic skills training will locate mediation among the array of dispute resolution processes and examine the differences between facilitative and evaluative mediation. Participants will learn a step-by-step process to assist parties in conflict to find mutually agreeable solutions.
