UW Video Message Header Graphic

Dear Colleagues,

As video continues to grow as a popular and effective medium for content consumption, I am excited to share how our organization is adapting to better meet demand, improve cost efficiencies and advance our ability to tell the University of Washington’s stories in a compelling way.

Today marks the beginning of a new vision for campus video production with the launch of UW Video. Leveraging the extensive campus knowledge developed by UWTV, UW Video builds upon that strength while delivering enhanced video services and three new, all-inclusive video production packages that can fit even the most modest budgets.

From one-minute short form videos to 30-minute television programs, UW Video supports your communications goals by scripting, filming, editing and delivering video content. In addition to pre-produced programs, UW Video can host your live event on our website or yours.

UW Video is organized to be the single best provider of video production expertise for all UW campuses with a depth of knowledge about the UW, ability to quickly turn around projects on time and on budget, and the variety of distribution channels, including the 24/7 broadcast channel, UWTV channel 27. UWTV—which reaches more than 1.3 million homes in the Puget Sound region—will continue as the broadcast outlet for exciting new programs and stories about the campus community, student life and cutting-edge research. In addition, we offer a robust website with uwtv.org, a 3,900 subscriber–strong YouTube channel, and ongoing relationships with local news channels for syndication.

I invite you to discover what the new UW Video is all about. Whether your budget is large or small, we look forward to working with you to help you reach your communication goals. Contact us anytime at uwvideo@uw.edu.
