The GOLD group is hosting a viewing party for Husky Men's Basketball against Cal on Wednesday, January 15, 7:30 p.m. at The Duchess Tavern near University Village. Hosted appetizers and door prizes!
Economics Mentorship Program Sees Largest Cohort Yet
Our undergraduate mentorship program received more than 80 student applications to participate this fall. With a group of dedicated volunteer mentors, the program was able to accept 50 students this year.
Alumnus William Severson Joins Economics Visiting Committee
The Department is pleased to welcome William (Bill) Severson, BA '71, JD '74, to the Visiting Committee. A familiar face to many of our undergraduates, Mr. Severson's career has focused on state and local tax and finance.

Econ Major Michael Kutz is 2013-2014 ASUW President
Senior economics and computer science major Michael Kutz ran a successful campaign with 'Huskies Now' to win the 2013-2014 ASUW Presidency. The position has frequently been held by economics majors.

Congratulations to our grad students who recently passed their final exams: Celine Sun, research scientist at Wealthfront in Palo Alto, CA; Danny Brent, Postdoctoral Researcher at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia; Ercument Cahan, Senior Quantitative Analyst at Bloomberg in New York; and Sang Bum Ko, Deputy Director at the Financial Services Commission in Seoul, Korea.
