There's a lot happening at the UW School of Pharmacy these days! Dean Thomas Baillie will be stepping down as Dean this fall, although he will be remaining on the faculty, and we are celebrating the completion of a successful accreditation. And as always, read on to learn about other news, events and more.

This past November, our dean announced that he will be returning to his teaching duties in September 2014. If you missed the email announcement, read it here. We will also be keeping you in the loop about the dean transition process as it unfolds.

Special Announcement: School of Pharmacy Accredited Through 2022
The final results from our October accreditation site visit were released in January. And we are pleased to announce that our School has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education through 2022. The council found that we were in compliance in all areas. We are so grateful to our faculty, staff, students and alumni who helped make the accreditation so successful!

Gearing Up for A Global Medical Brigade
A group of our PharmD students are organizing a Global Brigades trip to Honduras this June. Global Brigades is an organization that mobilizes university students to create positve social change throughout the world. Read more about the students' efforts to organize this year's brigade here.
