Dear UW Foundation Directors,
We’re thrilled to invite you and a guest to a Deep Dive to the University of Washington Scholars’ Studio Program hosted by the Graduate School and UW Libraries. The Scholars’ Studio is an opportunity for Graduate students to present their research in an informal, interdisciplinary setting. Students from across departments come together on a central theme and give quick TED-talks style reports followed by a panel Q&A. The theme for this session is Robot. This could include emerging areas such as social robots, cyborgs in film and literature, robotics, drones, privacy and robots, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence and ethics.
In a special collaboration with the Tech Policy Lab, there will be a reception following the presentations with the opportunity to chat with presenters and faculty as well as members of the local tech industry. If you can stay, it’s a fabulous opportunity to engage with UW students and learn about the multidisciplinary approach to this topic.
