It's the month we've all been waiting for... school's just about out, the weather is (finally) gorgeous and Jack Black's new movie is just days away.

If you haven't seen the trailer for Year One you should check it out. Jack Black and Michael Cera play to prehistoric slackers unsatisfied with their careers as hunter-gatherers. Of course, they don't have a prehistoric Career Center at their fingertips, but nevertheless they decide anyway to take a risk and seek out new opportunities.

You can do the same this summer, but you don't have to do it alone. As Huskies, you do have us at your fingertips. So, whether it's an internship for fall, a summer job or, for you Seniors, your new career, leave your loincloth at home and let's get you started on your modern-day search.

Congrats to everyone who will start summer off with a diploma in-hand! We know you'll be busy celebrating, but we also know that you may be, at some point soon, looking for a job or career. As a Husky, there are certain benefits you get here at the UW Career Center, even after graduating, and we want you to know about them.

Whether you're looking for an internship or a temporary job to pay the bills, summer work experience can present a new and fun learning opportunity and can add experience and skills to your resume. Here are some points to remember to find a great summer job:
- Network with family and friends. The most effective way to job search is through folks you know.
- Think big and use this as an opportunity to try something you've always wanted to do.
- Do your research to find a good fit. You can find plenty of ideas on HuskyJobs to help you get started.
