iAlumni in the Field Alum Doing Award-Winning Work at the Brooklyn Public Library
Anthony Loum ('97) has gone from stuggling to find work as a library para-professional to serving as Adult Services Coordinator for Brooklyn Public Library, the fourth largest library system in the nation. Informatics students participated in a unique product planning internship class with program managers, designers, engineers and executives from Microsoft involved in creating collaborative tools for the next generation of Office Suite.
Honoring Spencer G. Shaw (1916-2010)
Spencer G. Shaw, beloved emeritus professor, librarian, teacher and storyteller, passed away on June 16. He is being remembered at the iSchool via a memorial webpage and the annual Shaw Lecture.
